Renascence Developments Corporation was established in 2005 when a group of executives in the multifamily development market came together with a shared vision for the future.

Even though all members have achieved a high level of success in the multi family arena, they felt that they could contribute more to the industry by collaborating and sharing their passion and ideas to provide a more affordable product with a higher level of customer satisfaction and customer service than ever before seen in the Calgary marketplace.

Having so many years experience in the industry, the members of Renascence Developments have first hand experience working with conceptual design, financing, management, leadership, planning, construction and land development. This knowledge has allowed Renascence Developments to surround itself with the best of the best in the industry.

Mr. Larry Kelly,

Before co-founding Renascence, Mr. Kelly spent the last 25 years holding various executive positions in the development business, gaining experience in conceptual design, financing, management, leadership, planning, construction and land development. Mr. Kelly moved to Calgary in 1978 and since that time has held the position of President and CEO of New Home Warranty Program of Alberta, Vice-President of Statesman Corporation and COO of Pointe of View. Mr. Kelly during his 6 year tenure with Pointe of View led the Company to become the largest multi-family builder in Western Canada. Through his executive positions and various positions on Boards and Committees, Mr. Kelly has a wide range of contacts and resources to draw upon in the development and building industry.

Mr. Ron Knight, C.A.,

Before co-founding Renascence, Mr. Knight was CFO of Pointe of View for five years. During his tenure with Pointe of View he put into place the necessary financing, infrastructure and internal controls to allow Pointe of View to increase market share to become the largest Multi-family builder in Western Canada. During this time, Pointe of View built and sold over 5,000 multifamily condominiums focusing mainly in Alberta and British Columbia. 

Prior to joining Pointe of View in April 2000, Mr. Knight held various senior management positions in financial services, manufacturing and oil field servicing organizations. He received his degree in Management from the University of Lethbridge in 1984 and his Chartered Accountants designation (with honors) in 1986. Mr. Knight has completed the Canadian Securities Course and numerous management and leadership courses. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Mrs. Lisa Thomas 
Sales Manager


Prior to joining the Renascence Developments team, Lisa Thomas held the position of Sales Consultant, for a period of 5 years, with two different Calgary Builders. During this time she successfully sold out more than 3 multi family communities with a total volume of over 720 homes. Throughout this experience she was awarded the Calgary Regional Home Builders Association’s “Top Producer” award multiple times.

Lisa holds a tremendous level of passion for both the home building industry and people in general. She prides herself in providing top quality customer service to each and every person she serves. It is a top priority that each customer receives the right product to meet their needs. In addition, she strives to provide each customer with a high level of respect and communication throughout the process.

Prior to entering the Building Industry, Mrs. Thomas enjoyed a 10 year Social Work career with Alberta Social Service and Alberta Justice in the capacity of outreach services and family mediation. She holds certificates in Negotiation & Mediation as well as a Diploma in Social Work and is a past member of Registered Social Worker of Alberta and Registered Family Mediators of Alberta.
